Hello! Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I hold a Bachelors of Science in Honours Biology and am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, from where I also earned my Holistic Culinary Certificate.  I am proud to be a Certified Metabolic Balance® Coach because this program fits right in line with my philosophy of using food to heal your body.

Additionally, I’m a private chef, chauffeur, tutor and referee to my 3 kids, and loving wife to my ever so lucky husband. :) Oh, and I also make a pretty awesome lasagna!

My career started in the pharmaceutical industry where I promoted prescription drugs to MDs and pharmacists. Through my time there, I learned about disease states and medical treatments, but it wasn’t until later that I became more aware of natural approaches to health and wellbeing. While pharmaceuticals definitely have their role, I have experienced first hand how diet and lifestyle can have a huge impact on health, wellbeing, and even prevention of many diseases. 

In fact, the CDC states poor nutrition can impact cancer, obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Additionally, according to a study published in the Lancet in 2019, 1 in 5 deaths worldwide are associated with poor diet. Where I once believed disease only happened to the unlucky, I now see well-being is largely dependent on the quality of food we put in our body, as this will be the catalyst to either health or disease.

Although I grew up eating a relatively healthy diet, it wasn’t until I became pregnant with my first little energized bunny that I really questioned what I was eating and how that would affect a new growing life. This led to eventually going back to school to become a Holistic Nutritionist, as I realized that proper nutrition is the building block to health.  After adopting some changes, I am more fit, have a stronger immune system and am much more energized than when I was 20!

These changes were timely as they helped me to navigate and trouble shoot these perimenopause years. Again, where I once believed peri/menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, irritability, anxiety/depression and insomnia were a right of passage, I now see through myself and my clients how proper nutrition and lifestyle modifications can have a incredible impact on peri/menopausal symptoms.

But enough about me… how can I help you?

I will guide you into creating new habits that can have a major impact on your health and wellbeing, for the long term. As a busy mom of three and an entrepreneur, I know how difficult it is to get healthy meals on the table and still have time for exercise and self care. Life is busy and you don’t have the time to trial every diet and new fad potion or regimen in the hopes it will work. At the same time, you can’t afford to be slowed by fatigue, insomnia, extra weight, hormonal imbalances, peri/menopausal symptoms, digestive issues and more. I take the guess work out and facilitate an easy and evidence based process that can fit into your busy schedule.

I answer the question, “What are the right foods for me?” and determine nutrient gaps to bring you back in balance. I approach each client’s case holistically, taking into account not only nutrition but other lifestyle modifications that contribute to balancing mind, body and soul.
